# Appearance and Branding

> Set the name, theme, accent color, logo and favicon of your status page

The **Appearance** tab controls how your status page looks to visitors.

## Change the appearance

  <Step title="Open the Appearance tab">
    Click **Status Pages** in the sidebar, open a page, and select **Appearance**.

  <Step title="Edit the basics">
    Update the **Name** and **Description** shown at the top of the page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a theme and color">
    Select **Light**, **Dark** or **System**. System follows each visitor's device setting. Set the **Primary Color** with the picker or a hex value such as `#3B82F6`. UptimeIO uses it for links, buttons and accents.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Upload a logo and favicon">
    Upload a **Logo** and a **Favicon** under **Branding**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Click **Save Changes**. If you switch tabs with unsaved changes, the dashboard asks you to confirm.

## Image requirements

| Image | Formats | Maximum size | Recommended size |

| **Logo** | PNG, JPG, SVG, WebP | 2 MB | 200 x 60 px |
| **Favicon** | ICO, PNG | 500 KB | 32 x 32 px |

## Show or hide data

Use the [Settings tab](/status-pages/settings) to choose whether the page shows uptime percentages and response times, and which uptime windows visitors can pick.
